Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist patients with menu selections and meal service according to physician‑ordered diets. The role includes documenting dietary restrictions and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure timely, accurate meal delivery.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of customer service experience. Works in a hospital setting with a focus on patient satisfaction and adherence to safety and sanitation

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
One year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Helps patients to make menu selections that comply with their dietary requirements and restrictions.
Receives and responds to phone calls regarding patient and guest meal orders.
Maintains and documents food preferences, diet orders and food allergies.
Collaborates with assigned nursing units to enhance the patient experience.
Assembles patient meal trays based on menu selections made in compliance with the patients dietary requirements and restrictions.
Assists with patient/guest satisfaction initiatives.
Resolves, refers, and/or reports service quality issues as appropriate.
Ensures that patient meal process is completed in accordance with time expectations.
