Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Nutrition Attendant for the Food & Nutrition-Patient Svcs department. You will provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, physicians and nursing staff by explaining meals, basic diet instructions, and modifications, while documenting preferences promptly.

The role supports training of new staff and assists with ongoing education for department initiatives, with the ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays as

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
• Training of new employees and ongoing education for department initiatives may be required.
• Demonstrates customer service excellence and adherence to Nutrition Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, physicians and nursing staff regarding meals and modifications.
• Explain menu items and basic diet instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Document alternate food preferences and meal selections in a timely manner.
• Assist with training of new staff and ongoing department education.
