Avera McKennan Hospital is hiring for a Patient Meal Service role with rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. The position pays $18.00–$22.00 per hour and requires caring, accurate meal service and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities include processing patient meal orders, delivering meals, and coordinating with departments to support patient nutrition needs. Prior food service experience is preferred.

Competenze

• High School or GED Equivalent; one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous food service experience

Mansioni

• Demonstrates knowledge of the food service software used for recording patient and guest meal orders.
• Communicates with staff and departments regarding diet orders and patient requests.
• Delivers meals to patient rooms in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Assists patients with meal setup and obtaining items as needed.
• Records meal and fluid intake in the electronic medical record.
• Maintains hygiene and safety standards in food handling and service.
