Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve quality meals for patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

You will follow patient diet orders, ensure meals are prepared and served on time, and work with the dietary team to maintain safety, sanitation, and high levels of patient satisfaction. A high school diploma and prior food-prep experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in food preparation preferred.
• Experience in preparing and cooking food in large quantities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals that are appetizing and appropriate for each patient.
• Knowledgable of ordered diets and food consistency.
• Ensure food and supplies for the next meal are available.
• Serve meals and snacks in a timely manner.
• Follow recipes and production tools to prepare meals.
• Exhibit good patient service and professionalism.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and confidentiality standards.
