Job summary

Summa Rehab Hospital – Akron, OH is seeking a Diet Aide to join our team of patient caregivers. Assist in serving meals to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining safety and sanitary standards.

You will work with our multidisciplinary team to support nutrition care, handle food stock, and ensure timely meal delivery. A high school diploma and a food handler license are required; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Food handler license required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Prepare, pour, and portion food; unpack and check stock.
• Maintain sanitary work environment and proper food handling.
• Wash dishes and assist with kitchen duties.
• Incorporate hospital mission and guiding principles daily.
