Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management seeks a dedicated food service worker for Los Alamos Wellness and Rehabilitation in Los Alamos, NM. The role covers meal preparation support, service to patients and staff, and post-service cleanup in a healthcare setting.

You will assist cooks, label nourishments, portion desserts and beverages, and follow production sheets. The position emphasizes teamwork, patient interaction during meals, and adherence to center procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entre foods into dishes; pours beverages
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate
• Sets dining room tables for meals when assigned
• Works on meal tray serving line. Sets-up before start of meal service. Breaks down area and cleans-up at end of serving line
• Reads and follows tray tickets when serving meals
• Serves meal trays to patient and pours beverages for patients when assigned to dining room
• Clears tables of dishes and trash
• Pushes food carts to appropriate patient care areas
• Communicates with patients during meal times when serving in dining areas
