Mercy One Patient Logistics (part of Trinity Health) is seeking a Full Time Night Shift Coordinator to support admissions, discharges, and inter-facility transfers. You will help ensure proper patient placement based on diagnosis and bed availability, monitor census, and alert leadership to trending thresholds across markets.

Provide coordination and support for Mercy Patient Logistics teams to facilitate patient admissions, discharges, intra-hospital and inter-facility transfer processes. Assisting the departments to ensure appropriate placement of patients based on diagnosis and physician preference with consideration of bed availability at both acute and rural facilities. Responsible for monitoring census capacity and alerting the leadership team upon trending thresholds in various markets. Responsible for maintaining accurate bed availability information by analyzing information received on the electronic bed board and from clinical staff to coordinate patient assignments and transfers. This role is intended to help keep the flow of the Transfer Center going by having additional support for the team to obtain the information they need that at times can cause delay in the transfer process. Coordinators can help offset the high peak times by taking on the task that can ease the transfer process.
