Job description

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide direct assistance to patients, their families, staff and management, with the resolution of concerns, as well as support the rights, responsibilities, and personal interests of the patient population in general.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Liaison.
  • Responsible for all functions that take place in the waiting room, including the greeter desk.
  • Some authority over PSRs in conjunction with the PSR team lead/manager.
  • Communicate deficiencies at the front desk to the front desk manager.
  • Carry a transient ThinkPad for scheduling, registration, and system access.
  • Act as the primary facilitator for all patient complaints, feedback, and compliments.
  • Investigate patient feedback with manager, team lead, and supervisor.
  • Communicate between front desk and technologists regarding delays.
  • Assist manager with process improvement (office workflow from the patient’s point of view).
  • Represent the patients, working on their behalf.
  • Follow up in conjunction with the manager.
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of all patient feedback in Excel to identify best practices and areas needing improvement.
