Responsibilities

• Review each referral for pain complaint, current medications, medical history, and insurance.
• Register patients in Athena EMR and upload the referral to the chart.
• Verify patient insurance and eligibility.
• Call patients to schedule appointments.
• Request imaging and medical records.
• Email or text new patients links for new patient form completion.
• Coordinate with referral offices, nurse case managers, and legal offices.
• Assist as an MA when coverage is needed.
