Description

The Patient Intake Services Specialist is responsible for the registration and scheduling of patients in a call center environment while maintaining excellent customer service. This is a full-time position working M-F from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in Bloomington, MN. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions
  1. Accurately and efficiently schedule new and existing patients in the current practice management system.
  2. Answer a high volume of inbound calls in a timely, pleasant, and professional manner.
  3. Communicate all pertinent patient information regarding their call, including appointment details, directions, check-in times, referral information, and copayments.
  4. Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices.
  5. Maintain and update assigned appointment reports, new patient reports, or other scheduling modules.
  6. Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and networks.
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare facility related to pre-registration or appointment scheduling is preferred.
  • Previous call-center experience is preferred.
