Job summary

Hartford HealthCare in Manchester, CT is hiring an Attendant to support patient and guest dining in the hospital cafeteria. You will stock supplies, deliver and pickup patient trays, portion and package meals, assist with meals on wheels, serve customers, and help maintain a clean dining area.

The Attendant reports to the Director of Food Services and works Monday to Friday with some weekend rotation. A high school diploma is preferred; basic English and customer service skills are required, and

Qualifications

• Basic English reading and verbal communication skills for interaction with staff and patients.
• Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate tray counts.
• Strong customer service attitude and willingness to assist coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Stock supplies and maintain a clean, organized work station.
• Deliver and pick up patient food trays; portion and package food items.
• Assist in packaging meals for meals on wheels and snack delivery.
• Serve customers and process dishes in the dish room.
• Maintain cafeteria and kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
