Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support inpatient menu selections and ensure diet orders are accurately reflected across meals. You will assist in collecting patient preferences, accommodate dietary restrictions, and update Meditech with current orders and modifications. Strong customer service and clear communication are essential.

The role reports to the Clinical Nutrition Manager and requires attention to detail and teamwork within the Nutrition Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Meditech system and dietary management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient menu selections on assigned units.
• Ensure menus reflect diet orders and patient allergies.
• Enter diet orders and patient information in Meditech.
• Provide excellent customer service to inpatients and respond to requests.
• Maintain accurate and legible menu records and documentation.
