Job summary

This unarmed, non-sworn role requires de-escalation of agitated individuals, prevention of potentially risky situations, and the ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays; a Virginia driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• One year of security, public safety or law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• De-escalates agitated patients, both individually and as a member of a team.
• Prevents potentially risky and/or violent situations.
• Provide security services, enforce hospital rules, assist staff, visitors and patients.
