Job summary

IU Health University Hospital is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician to support daily outpatient pharmacy operations. Under pharmacist supervision, you will process prescriptions, enter patient data into systems, and assist with dispensing, delivery and pickups.

You will also manage inventory, stock medications, monitor levels, and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training or Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or intern/extern license required if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• National Certification as Pharmacy Technician within one year of hire unless enrolled in an accredited program.
• No criminal history related to ability to work with drugs.

Responsibilities

• Support daily outpatient pharmacy operations under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Process prescription orders and enter patient and medication information into systems.
• Prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification and assist with dispensing, delivery and pickup.
• Manage inventory, stock medications and supplies, monitor medication levels and maintain records.
