Qualifications

  • Physician Assistant license and NCCPA certification are required.
  • CPR certification and immunization requirements are standard for clinical practice.
  • Active licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and maintains health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations.
  • Orders/ interprets diagnostic tests and documents patient care in records.
  • Provides administrative and clinical support including injections, suturing, and wound care.
  • Counsels patients on regimens, growth/development, and wellness.
  • Develops patient management plans and ensures continuity of care.
  • Maintains safe, compliant clinical environment and infection control protocols.
  • Adheres to applicable laws and regulations; participates in continuing education.
  • Contributes to team efforts and supports professional growth of staff.
