MHEDS seeks a Phlebotomist to support its diverse patient population in a fixed schedule. You will collect specimens, educate patients about tests, and document results in the Electronic Health Record.

You will greet patients, verify orders, label samples accurately, and coordinate with lab staff to ensure timely processing. The role is non-exempt, full-time, Monday through Friday, with on-site work in Erie, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certificate in Phlebotomy preferred but not required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience working with an Electronic Health Record required.
• At least two years of Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet and educate patients about tests and resources.
• Check patients in and out of the lab via the Electronic Health Record.
• Place orders in patient charts per MHEDS policies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of specimen collection and storage per test requirements.
• Collect and label blood/urine/stool specimens and prepare for lab pickup.
• Maintain accurate specimen labels and manage ACL pick-up box.
• Maintain lab supplies inventory weekly.
• Assist with in-clinic interpretation if multilingual.
