Qualifications

• Must have completed a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program and hold a current Medical Assistant certification.
• High School diploma or GED required as the minimum education credential.
• BCLS certification required (American Heart Association) or preferred as noted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sanitize and stock supplies, and ensure vaccines/medications are ready.
• Review upcoming appointments and identify gaps in care.
• Escort patients to rooms and manage patient flow to improve efficiency.
• Take and record vitals, history, allergies, medications, and concerns.
• Assist with procedures such as EKGs, Holter monitors, and in-office testing.
