Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a kitchen assistant to prepare hot food items for patient and non-patient services, following recipes and plans set by the Executive Chef and supervisors.

The role requires basic food prep skills, sanitation knowledge, and willingness to assist in other kitchen areas when needed. Applicants should have some prior fast food or kitchen production experience and demonstrate reliable attendance.

Formación

• Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Six months of fast food production or kitchen production.
• None.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares all hot food items for patient and non-patient food services as assigned.
• Assists in tray assembly and special diet preparation.
• Follows food service sanitation and HAACP guidelines.
• Communicates needs to Executive Chef and supervisors.
• Helps in other kitchen areas when necessary (cold prep, bakery, store room, café, dish room).
• Maintains punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies.
• Complies with Orlando Health policies and participates in AQ/QI activities.
• Observes departmental rules and performs proper portion controls.
• Performs cold food preparation and universal precautions as needed.
• Prepares meat roasting charts and temperature logs as required.
