Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support daily meal service for patients and guests. You will serve food and assist with minor preparation, following dietitian expectations and procedures. Compliance with county health rules and CMC values is required.

The role requires 1 year in high-volume food service, Cerner proficiency, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays with potential training modules.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of food service experience in a high volume setting.
• Proficient with Cerner and ability to read census information and manage dietary guidelines.
• Consult with RD to assist in care plans for patients.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must obtain Food Handlers Permit for AZ and ServeSafe certification within 30 days.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays; day or night shifts as required.
• Stand long periods (up to 12 hours), lift up to 50 lbs, and work in high volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all menu items according to recipes and service standards.
• Support hospital in food service, nutrition, stocking nourishments, and dishes.
• Follow patient diet restrictions and management guidelines.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure kitchen logs and equipment meet standards.
• Maintain kitchen and storage areas per regulations and company standards.
• Complete assigned tasks on duty, adhering to safety policies.
• Complete initial and subsequent training modules on time.
