Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Patient Placement Team RN to manage patient placement and transfers across hospitals, working across Epic, Transfer Center, Bed Placement, Voalte, Genesys, and Teams to keep care moving.

In this fast-paced, weekend night role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, weekends only), you will triage calls and transfers, coordinate air and ground transport, and partner with stroke, trauma and emergency teams to optimize patient flow.

Qualifications

• RN with 2+ years acute care; ED or critical care required.

What We Offer

Join our

Patient Placement Team

supporting our hospitals around the clock. In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage patient placement and transfers while working across 4 screens and multiple systems including Epic, Transfer Center, Bed Placement, Voalte, Genesys, and Teams to keep care moving smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Triage calls & transfers like a pro
• Coordinate air and ground transport
• Partner with stroke, trauma & emergency teams
• Manage patient placement across hospitals

Schedule

• 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Weekends only
• No call shifts

What We’re Looking For

• RN with 2+ years acute care (ED or critical care required, patient flow experience a plus)
• Strong clinical judgment & multitasking skills
• Tech-savvy and confident communicating with physicians
• Thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment

Education

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN preferred.

Experience

• 2 years, required. Previous leadership and bed utilization experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification

• RN License in Appropriate State, required.

Excellent problem analysis skills to develop solutions. Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage/coordinate effectively the work of non-subordinates.
