Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred
• Experience with insurance information and healthcare background preferred
• Electronic scheduling and registration experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and auto insurance may be required

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists based on needs; communicates with staff and providers.
• Manages waiting room and updates patients on delays.
• Registers patients and reviews insurance information to verify eligibility.
• Collects payments on accounts and insurance co-payments; creates receipts and reconciles daily.
• Maintains and monitors the computerized appointment schedule.
• Floats to other departments as needed.
