Job summary

Proactive MD in Vero Beach, FL is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical and clerical operations and uphold our Patient Promise to prioritize patients’ well-being. The CMA assists providers, conducts tests, and helps with outreach as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, pediatric experience, HIPAA knowledge, and the ability to coordinate care with diverse patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association valid for at least 90 days after start date.
• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships with diverse backgrounds.
• HIPAA knowledge.
• Certification in hearing and fit testing preferred or willing to get certified.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with treatments ordered by provider under supervision.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Perform basic clerical duties and record-keeping.
• Document provider encounters and transcribe orders (labs, radiology, medications).
