Job summary

This temporary role supports revenue cycle operations, reviews physician notes and records, and ensures accurate documentation of membership status and pre-authorization processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in health care billing and collections.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing financial information to assess ability to pay.
• Experience with automated databases of PC systems.
• Knowledge of workers compensation, COB and third party liability rules.
• Medical terminology and health care billing practices knowledge.
• Knowledge of registration, bill accounting and collections.

Responsibilities

• Identify alternate payors and advise on eligibility for services.
• Counsel patients on payment options and arrange payment plans.
• Refer cases to Billing Department and social services as needed.
