Qualifications

• 1+ year medical insurance experience including medical office administration and benefit verification.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and verifies patients' insurance benefit information from insurers and private payers.
• Obtains all necessary payer authorizations and referrals for services.
• Negotiates modified rates with carriers.
• Communicates potential patient out-of-pocket liability and works out payment plans as needed.
• Assists patients with questions or problems regarding insurance coverage and other financial matters.
• Assists in the resolution of patient billing issues.
• Confirms coverage information to ensure accuracy and no changes since initial confirmation.
• Maintains insurance assessment forms and agreements for claims processing.
• Performs other related duties.
