Advanced Physical Therapy, part of Confluent Health, seeks a Full Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist for our Leawood clinic. You’ll greet patients, handle check-in/out, scheduling, and insurance verification, while answering calls with a warm, professional tone.

No healthcare background is required; we provide comprehensive EMR navigation training and scheduling workflows to support your success in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone and handling upset callers with professionalism.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations including check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone calls.
• Review and follow up on referrals, update patient records, and explain next steps.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and handling cancellations.
• Collect copays and other payments accurately and protect patient privacy per HIPAA.
