UPMC Community Medicine Incorporated is hiring a Full-Time Patient Services Representative to support Noble House Medical Clinic. The role includes greeting patients, collecting copayments, and guiding patients through registration and scheduling processes.

Required high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in medical billing or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with Epic/Medipac systems is a plus. This position is based at Mayzon Health Center, 3124 Wilmington Rd, Suite 401.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with personal computer-based applications and typing skills preferred.
• Two years of experience in a medical / billing / fiscal or customer service function is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide a warm greeting for all patients
• Collect copayments and any other applicable patient payments at the point of service
• Confirm and/or update patient registration information at checkout
• Schedule follow-up appointments within the practice at checkout
• Schedule or connect patient to resources to schedule for ancillary services at checkout
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system by providing clear instructions and follow-up on unresolved questions
• Stays informed on navigation and usability of the UPMC Patient Portal and assists patients in registration
