Job summary

McLaren is seeking a Patient Care Associate/Nurse Assistant for the Day shift in the 8 W Medical Surgical department. Under direct supervision of a Nurse, you will support patient care activities and maintain a safe, clean environment to promote patient well-being.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, enrollment in nursing school or CNA training, and BLS certification (AHA/ARC) before start date and valid for 60 days beyond.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrollment in nursing school or CNA training or related medical careers program is preferred.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or comparable agency is required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN to help reach treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene (bathing, feeding, dressing, mobility).
• Ensures compliance with health care regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe, clean environment and follows infection-control and waste policies.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
