Job summary

Midtown Endoscopy & Surgical Center is seeking a highly organized Patient Services & Inventory Coordinator to support daily patient experiences while also assisting with inventory management and operational needs throughout the facility. The role requires proactive communication with front desk, clinical staff, physicians, and vendors to ensure smooth patient flow and properly stocked procedure rooms.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years in healthcare or ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Comfort with electronic medical records and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, courteous service to patients throughout their experience at the surgical center.
  • Assist patients with check-in, registration, directions, and general questions as needed.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information when applicable.
  • Assist with obtaining required patient documentation and ensuring information is complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate with front desk, nursing staff, physicians, scheduling, and other departments for a smooth patient experience.
  • Communicate patient needs and concerns to the appropriate staff member or department.
  • Assist with patient flow and address operational issues affecting patient experience.
  • Answer and route incoming calls and messages to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with appointment and procedure-related communications as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling patient information.
  • Document patient communications and administrative activities accurately in systems.
  • Escalate patient complaints or issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in periodic audits.
