Job summary

Carson Tahoe Health is seeking an Ambassador for the Carson City campus to provide welcoming, courteous service to hospital guests. The role includes screening guests, guiding them to locations, and assisting with inquiries and directions about facilities and services.

The position supports patient experience with a friendly demeanor, proper safety practices, and effective communication to ensure guests have a positive visit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience.
• One year of customer service experience.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers by 9/30/2024 if hired before 7/22/2024; within two months of hire if hired after 7/22/2024.
• Preferred: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the hospital in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Screen guests according to policies and procedures.
• Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and initial questions regarding the facility or services.
• Greet external guests and facilitate escorts, open doors, and assist with mobility if needed.
• Answer calls and transfer as appropriate, maintain a safe, clean work environment.
