Connecticut Children’s is seeking a Patient Representative to advocate for patients and families, interpret policies, and ensure a high level of service quality within the Patient & Family Experience.

The role acts as a liaison among patients, hospital departments, and community partners, handling complaints, coordinating service recovery, and communicating outcomes with care and sensitivity to diverse populations.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human services and/or public relations preferred; or equivalent directly related work experiences.
• Minimum 2-4 years of directly related experience in a healthcare setting.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Mansioni

• Facilitates Program Awareness: Collaborates with Connecticut Children’s team members and providers to make patients/families aware of patient complaint management process.
• Complaint Investigations & Resolution: Receives and triages patient/family complaints/grievances; investigates and provides timely response; acts as liaison for timely resolution.
• Hospital Liaison: Serves as liaison for service recovery discussions among patients, families, staff and leadership; follows up to address specifics.
• Discovery & Recovery: Rounds on inpatient units to identify patient experience issues; provides real-time service recovery and follows up on resolutions.
• Data Management & Recovery: Tracks complaints and resolutions; generates reports and identifies trends; demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient needs and regulations.
