Job summary

Wayspring is seeking an Engagement Specialist to support members via telephonic outreach and ongoing engagement. You will review care needs, inform members about services, and help connect them with clinical support while maintaining a compassionate, professional demeanor.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, confidentiality, and adherence to security requirements, with a focus on meaningful interactions and measurable engagement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in an outreach role, telephonic outreach preferred.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication with persuasive presentation skills.
• Experience with CRM or EHR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct text and telephonic outreach to members on caseload.
• Provide educational overview of Wayspring’s service offerings.
• Maintain ongoing member engagement and connection to clinical services.
• Incorporate recovery support themes into member interactions.
• Review member profiles for SDoH and clinical updates.
• Develop creative strategies to facilitate member contact.
• Maintain accountability for engagement and performance targets.
• Adhere to information security and privacy requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As an Engagement Specialist, you’ll work telephonically with members enrolled in our program, helping them stay connected to care through ongoing communication and encouragement. You’ll build trusted relationships over time, offering a steady and friendly presence as members work toward their goals as they navigate substance use disorder (SUD) and/or complex behavioral health challenges. This role is a great fit for someone who is personable, professional, and values meaningful interactions. You’ll support a specific health plan market(s) and use your communication skills to help members feel understood and supported. Responsibilities for the Engagement Specialist

• Conduct text and telephonic outreach to members assigned to their caseload
• Successfully contact members and review with them with an educational overview of Wayspring’s service offerings
• Provide on-going engagement to members
• Ensure members are connected to Wayspring clinical services
• Incorporate recovery support themes into engagement
• Regularly review member profile for SDoH and clinical updates
• Initiate creative strategies to facilitate member contact
• Maintain performance accountability around member engagement and participation and achieve performance targets
• Adhere to Wayspring information security and privacy requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an outreach role, with preferred experience around telephonic outreach
• Highly organized and detail-oriented and self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability working in a matrixed environment
• The ability to communicate effectively and persuasively is required
• Exceptional verbal communication skills, and effective presentation skills
• Experience with CRM platforms or Electronic Health Record systems is preferred
