Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Catering Associate for Canton-Potsdam Hospital. You will handle patient meal selections, assemble and deliver trays, and collaborate with Nursing to meet dietary needs.

The role includes rounds, tray pickup, and adherence to safety standards. This 24-hour-per-week position requires weekday and weekend shifts, with a schedule from 6am to 7pm, including every other Saturday and Sunday.

Qualifications

Takes patient menu selections prior to each meal per diet restrictions and offers alternates.
Assembles trays according to tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
Interacts with Nursing to ensure diet prescriptions are accurate and needs are met.
Follows HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies.
Contributes to patient satisfaction through high-quality service.

Responsibilities

Takes patient menu selections prior to each meal, complying with dietary restrictions.
Assembles trays according to patient menu and tray tickets.
Interacts with Nursing to confirm diet prescriptions and patient needs.
Completes catering rounds after tray handoff to check for additional needs.
Retrieves trays from patient rooms after rounds.
Assists Diet Tech with monitoring NPO or liquid diets and nutrition handouts.
Contributes to patient satisfaction by delivering high-quality service.
Follows HACCP guidelines during food assembly and distribution.
