Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Dietary Aide to read patient tray orders, assemble and deliver meals, and assist patients with opening items. You will help with tray collection, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean kitchen area across Mercyhealth facilities.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, basic math and computer knowledge, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. A high school diploma is preferred and Mercyhealth offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good interpersonal / communications skills.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Mathematical Skills: add/subtract, use money, weight and volume.
• Ability to perform operations using units of American money, weight, and volume.
• Reasoning: apply common sense to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Reads patient tray ticket orders and places items on trays.
• Delivers / serves patient trays, snacks and supplements.
• Assist patients with opening any items.
• Collects patient trays from room, stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen.
• Operates dish machine.
