Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Food Services Worker to support patient meals and cafeteria service. You will prepare cold foods, take room service orders, assemble trays, and help maintain safe, sanitary cooking areas.

This role requires excellent customer service, the ability to work in a stressful environment, and basic cash handling. Shift pattern includes 3:30 PM-9:00 PM on weekdays with every other weekend.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cold food items for patients and cafeteria.
• Take Room Service orders including employee/patient/family initiated orders and those patients needing assistance.
• Complete tray assembly.
• Ensures food meets all safety and sanitary regulations and completes all required documentation.
• Data entry using Microsoft Excel.
• Basic cash handling.
• Maintains a safe, clean, neat and orderly cooking area.
• Ensures all department policies and programs are adhered to.
