Job summary

UPMC Williamsport seeks a Food Service Host (Limited Part-Time) to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. You will interact directly with patients to assist with meal selection, deliver meals, and ensure timely service with a focus on quality and patient satisfaction. Shifts are part-time, 8 hours per week, scheduled between 5:00 a.m.

and 8:30 p.m., with every other weekend and holiday required. Prior food service or customer-facing experience is preferred, and hospital environment familiarity

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, hospitality, retail or other customer-facing roles.
• Experience serving patients or guests preferred.
• Demonstrates professionalism, compassion and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with meal selection and menu collection.
• Deliver and serve meals while providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure meals are served accurately, attractively, and within established timeframes.
• Verify patient identification and follow department procedures during meal service.
• Respond professionally to patient requests and concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned work areas.
• Follow food safety, hand hygiene, and infection prevention standards.
• Communicate patient feedback and concerns to the healthcare team.
