Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Food Service Host to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. You will interact directly with patients to help ensure they receive nutritious meals and an outstanding dining experience during their hospital stay.

You will deliver meals, verify patient identities, and maintain sanitation standards in a hospital setting. This full-time role requires excellent customer service, teamwork, and flexibility in shift times.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing environment.
• Strong customer service mindset with a focus on patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with meal selection and menu collection.
• Deliver and serve meals while providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure meals are served accurately, attractively, and within established timeframes.
• Verify patient identification and follow department procedures during meal service.
• Respond professionally to patient requests and concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned work areas.
• Follow food safety, hand hygiene, and infection prevention standards.
• Communicate patient feedback and concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
