Job summary

City of Hope is hiring for a food service position on site in California. The role supports food preparation, station setup, serving guests, and maintaining clean, sanitary kitchen areas in accordance with safety guidelines.

You will assist with portions, breaks, and restocking while ensuring quality and patient/customer satisfaction. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and basic knowledge of equipment operation and cash handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Preferred experience: basic operation of equipment and cash-handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and proper storage.
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads and utensils.
• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables; assist customers as needed.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils; clean and sanitize.
• Follow City of Hope safety, sanitation and infection control guidelines.
