Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker II to support meal preparation and service across its California locations. You may work anywhere on property where food is prepared, assisting in setup and serving from counters and steam tables, and handling cash transactions with accuracy and care.

The role involves reading production orders, portioning items, and ensuring trays are complete before delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Preferably 2–3 years of work experience; knowledge of basic operation of equipment and cash-handling procedures preferred.
• Food Safety certification or license as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble meals from tray-line and kitchen per production orders.
• Serve and replenish foods at counters and steam tables; break down stations after meals.
