Job summary

City of Hope is hiring for a Food Service Worker II to support patient meals and dining services across the campus. You will read production orders, assemble trays, and ensure accurate portioning and presentation for patients and staff.

You will also operate the cash register, take payments, and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment while adhering to safety and infection-control policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of work experience; cash-handling procedures preferred; Food Safety certification as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble meals from tray-line or kitchen according to orders.
• Serve and replenish food at counters and steam tables, and assist with cleaning.
• Operate a cash register, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Interact with customers and assist patients with meal orders.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, and dining areas.
• Attend safety training and follow infection control guidelines.
