Job summary

Unidine is hiring a Patient Dining Associate in Los Angeles, CA. The role supports patients with menu selections, assembles and delivers meals, and supports the caregiving team to ensure safety and satisfaction.

Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. The position requires at least one year of food service experience in a healthcare setting, with the pay range of $25.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and push carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing on dietary requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural or religious preferences.
• Assemble meals by patient’s selections and retrieve trays on time.
• Adhere to HIPAA and patient rights policies and confidentiality.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians; monitor patients on liquid diets or calorie counts.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff promptly; comply with department procedures.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health, sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
