Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Host/Hostess to assist patients with appropriate food selections according to diet prescriptions and to communicate menus. The role includes preparing late trays and collaborating with the care team to ensure excellent patient service.

This position is on-site in Kokomo, Indiana, with part-time, 20 hours per week. Prior food service experience is preferred, and English proficiency is required for effective communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a food service department preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Requires reading, writing, mathematical skills, and ability to operate a computer terminal.
• Requires the ability to lift 30lbs and the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• The Host / Hostess assists patients with appropriate food selections in accordance with diet prescription.
• Communicates the menu to patients.
• Prepares late trays for assigned patients.
• Works in partnership with other team members.
• Provides customer focused care to the patients served.
