Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Dietary Aide to enter patient meal selections, assist patients with choices, and explain diet information to patients and families. You will use the CBORD Diet Office System and support tray delivery, nourishment service, and stocking of nursing pantries.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and at least one year of hospital food service experience. Day shifts are available with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient selections in the CBORD Diet Office System and assist patients in choosing meals.
• Explain basic diet information to patients and families; act as liaison with Food & Nutrition.
• Provide tray delivery and nourishments to patients; stock supplies for nursing units.
• Handle meal service issues and ensure high customer service.
