Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking a Patient Dining Associate/Dietary Aide at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Full- and part-time shifts available, 7:00 am–7:00 pm, rotating weekends. Prior food service or healthcare experience preferred.

Sign-on bonus of $200. The role involves assisting patients with menu selections, assembling meals, and ensuring timely delivery while following HIPAA, HACCP, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations, HIPAA policies, and facility confidentiality.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on specific diets or calorie counts.
