Job summary

Penn Highlands Healthcare in Nebraska is seeking a Patient Dining Associate to support inpatient catering and patient nourishment tasks. You will act as the liaison between patients, nursing and nutrition services, entering patient preferences into the system and ensuring timely tray delivery.

The role involves preparing nourishing meals, delivering to patient floors, and applying diet therapy as needed, within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months+ experience in kitchen area preferred.
• Must understand unit measurements (ounces, pounds, cups, etc.).
• Must know how to use a scale.
• Food preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates communication between patients, nursing and nutrition services.
• Assists clinical staff with patient requests and preferences.
• Enters data into the information system to organize patient nourishment.
• Delivers trays and food to patients and collects upon completion.
• Prepares and delivers nourishments to patient floors.
• Applies diet therapy in tray-line and production areas.
