Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for a part-time position at Viera Hospital in Melbourne, FL. The role supports patient meals by helping with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and collecting meal trays on the unit.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences.
• Assemble meals per patient menus and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Follow HACCP, HIPAA, and sanitation guidelines; maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on specific diets and report concerns promptly.
