Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate I to provide patient meal service on assigned units. This is a full-time position with rotating weekends and a rotating shift schedule.

You will communicate patient food needs to Food & Nutrition Services, assist with dietary monitoring, and support patient satisfaction through accurate service and responsiveness to dietary restrictions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food Handlers Card required at time of hire.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient meal service on assigned units.
• Communicate patient food issues/needs to Food & Nutrition Services.
• Assist dietitian with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Record food intake for patients and maintain accuracy.
• Support patient satisfaction through timely, accurate service.

This is a full time, rotating shift** **position with rotating weekends.****Hours*** Monday - Friday: must be available to work a 12-hour shift between the hours of 6am - 7pm* Rotating Weekends**Overview**Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units. Communicates patient food issues/concerns and needs to Food & Nutrition Services, and interacts with Nursing in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. Assist dietitian with monitoring of patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets and records food intake for patients on intake analysis. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets. Familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
