We are hiring immediately for part-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) positions.

Location: Ochsner LSU - St Mary - 1 St Mary Place, Shreveport, LA 71105. Note: online applications accepted only.

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu understanding and collaborate with nursing to ensure nutritional compliance.
• Coordinate with caregivers and culinary staff to accommodate food allergies, cultural preferences, or additional requests.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately, and retrieve trays at scheduled times.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Support dietitians in monitoring patients with special dietary needs.
• Report issues promptly and complete required documentation.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
