Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on healthcare units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and collecting meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

• Assist patients in understanding menu options and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Work with the team to accommodate food allergies, cultural, ethnic, religious preferences, or additional inquiries.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately and promptly, and retrieve trays from patient rooms.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets or calorie counts.
• Report problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete required reports as per policies.
• Follow health, sanitation, and infection control regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
