Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates support healthcare units by assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and meet safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu choices and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Work with culinary and caregiving teams to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals, and retrieve trays at scheduled times.
• Adhere to regulatory standards, confidentiality, and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines, infection control policies, and safety procedures.
• Support dietitians by monitoring patients on special diets or with specific calorie needs.
• Report issues promptly and complete required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
