Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach is seeking a Patient Dining Associate to support patient meal service on assigned units and ensure timely delivery of meals.

You will communicate patient food concerns to Food & Nutrition Services, assist dietitians with patients on NPO and modified diets, and help maintain accuracy of diets and patient satisfaction on the units.

Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, with competitive pay and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant/waitress/server experience preferred.
• Prior food serving/dining service experience preferred.

Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units. Communicates patient food issues/concerns and needs to Food & Nutrition Services and interacts with Nursing in regard to patient nutrition needs or requirements. Assist dietitian with monitoring of patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets and records food intake for patients on intake analysis. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets. Familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Responsible for patient satisfaction on assigned units.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.02 - $26.54 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
